Beetoria follows Privacy by Default & data minimisation. Private garden, plant, bed-plan and journal content is visible only to you (secured by Row-Level Security). Locations are only ever processed approximately — exact addresses are never shown publicly. Images in the plant check are only uploaded and analysed when you actively start the check; sharing to the community only happens after your explicit approval. Smart Garden recommendations are hints, not instructions.

Beetoria only processes the data necessary to provide and operate the platform (data minimisation under Art. 5 GDPR). Unless stated otherwise, the legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR (contract performance and account) or Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure and stable service). The overview below shows which data is processed in which context.

For each processing, purpose, legal basis, retention period, service providers involved and EU/non-EU processing can be documented later.

You have the rights to access, rectification, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability as well as objection and withdrawal of granted consent. You can submit requests via the privacy dashboard in the app or by email to hello@beetoria.de. We confirm receipt within one month.

Only approximate, partly shifted coordinates are processed. Exact locations or addresses are never shown publicly and cannot be queried by other users.

For care recommendations and the garden weather, Beetoria calls weather services (e.g. Open-Meteo / met.no). Only the region you chose or approximate coordinates are transmitted, never an exact address. The data is cached briefly and used only for your recommendations.

Images you capture in the plant check are only analysed when you actively start the check. The analysis runs via an AI function for non-diagnostic care hints. Sharing the images to the community happens only after your explicit approval.

Beetoria is aimed at adult garden enthusiasts. Use is permitted only from age 16. Minors under 16 may not use Beetoria. No targeted profiling is carried out for younger users and no personalised advertising is displayed.
